Key Four
The District Committee is headed by the
"Key 4":
The District Chairman
and Vice-Chairman are responsible for holding and presiding over the monthly District Committee meetings, identifying and filling positions on the District Committee and providing support and resources for all District volunteers and Unit volunteers.
The District Commissioner supervises the corps of Unit Commissioners, and the Roundtable Commissioners and Staff, with the ultimate goal of providing service to units.
The District
Executive is a paid employee of the Boy Scouts of America who represents our District at Three Fires Council, and ensures that the volunteer staff in the District has the resources needed to deliver the Scouting program.
Unit Commissioners
The Commissioner Corps provides service
to units. Your Unit commissioner will provide assistance in the annual
re-chartering process. Unit Commissioners are assigned to assist individual
units, and can provide units with the experience and knowledge required to
solve many unit "problems".
Roundtable Commissioners
Roundtables are monthly meetings
for all Scout leaders and parents. Roundtable staff provide commissioner
service and supplemental training for volunteers in all Scouting programs.
There are separate meetings for
Cub Scout leaders/parents and Boy Scout leaders/parents.
